Depression is often described as a silent battle, one that can be challenging to detect until it has a firm grip on an individual's life. It doesn't announce its arrival with fanfare, but rather, it creeps up on us slowly and insidiously. Depression is a formidable opponent precisely because it creeps up on us. By the time we recognize its presence, it may have already cast a shadow over various aspects of our lives. Therefore, it's essential to be vigilant and proactive in recognizing the signs and symptoms of depression, both in ourselves and in those around us.
